BACKGROUND: World Overview
Amongst a world full of demons, monsters, and mythical creatures, Sena actually comes from a village that is predominantly human. However, the people in her village are far from ordinary; Sena comes from the village of Daisan, where the humans native to that location are recognizable by their most distinguishing feature, the Third Eye in the middle of their foreheads. The Third Eye is often associated with wisdom and spiritual enlightenment, and for the people of Daisan, earning their Third Eye is a rite of passage into adulthood that is gained once they have discovered their own path to take in life.

Not everyone in the village has a Third Eye, however. Because many members choose to travel in order to find how to earn their Eye, they may meet someone during the course of their journey. If the Daisanian returns, they may be accompanied by someone they met on their travels, who are free to remain in Daisan if they choose. This is how Sena's father, Sho, met her mother, Ambra - another human, though with no powers of her own - during his travels. The two fell in love, and when Sho returned to Daisan, Ambra decided to join him and live with him in the village.

Sena is far from the only person who has one parent from outside of the village. Many Daisanian travelers have returned with someone they have met while traveling; another human, a demon, a mythical being, any of the vast creatures that populate the world. There is no fear of losing their original Daisanian heritage - for as long as a child has Daisanian blood, they would be able to earn their Third Eye, no matter how trace the bloodline is. So while the village primarily consists of Daisanians, many of them have a mixed heritage thanks to the open and welcoming nature of the village.

This is the environment that Sena grew up in; the friendly and peaceful atmosphere of Daisan and its inhabitants made it easy for Sena to indulge her curiosity, especially regarding those from outside of the village. She enjoyed listening to stories that others had to share about their people and their histories, and she loved learning about the cultures and diversity that existed inside her village and out. She developed an appreciation for the differences between people and groups, and adopted Daisan's accepting attitude towards others.

Her favorite stories, however, come from her father, who she greatly admires and respects. She loves hearing stories about Sho's own journey to earn his Third Eye; from his travels, to meeting her mother, to his discovery of a group of warriors known as the Sentinels. Inspired by their dedication and their duty to help others, Sho requested to join the Sentinels, and underwent the specialized training for those not born in a Sentinel village. Sena's favorite story in particular is how, upon Sho's graduation as an official Sentinel, he finally earned his Third Eye.

And because the Sentinels are an important factor in Sho's life, Sena also became involved in Sentinel culture. Growing up, Sena would often wake up early with her father when he did his morning training, and Sho would teach her some of the training forms. He would also occasionally let her accompany him when he would travel for Sentinel business (for less dangerous missions), which allowed her to meet even more Sentinels and hear about their stories and adventures, while getting to travel to different places. Deciding to be a Sentinel when she left for her own journey, Sena started studying martial arts, encouraged by Sho who even taught her himself in the beginning.

Learning martial arts became much easier when Sena's powers first manifested, around the time she reached puberty. It was not unusual for Daisanians to have additional powers and abilities, which often assisted them to earn their Third Eyes. However, when Sena discovered that her powers were those of a mimic, she became rather self-conscious. As much as she loved to learn about and observe people, she was somewhat frustrated that her powers meant that any abilities she learned had to come from someone else first.

Despite this, her parents continued to encourage her to utilize her abilities; when Sho would meet with other Sentinels, he would bring Sena so that the other Sentinels would be able to teach her some things. Ambra also encouraged her to use her powers, with the help of some members of the village, who would show Sena some of their abilities to allow her to copy them. With their help, Sena was able to practice her powers and test her limits, as well as learn different powers and skills that she could use in the future.

When Sena turned 18 and it became time to earn her Third Eye, Sena chose to travel the world as her father did. While she is debating now whether to follow through and join the Sentinels, she decided to see where her travels take her, and if she still feels committed to becoming a Sentinel as she had been before.

PERSONALITY:

Optimistic - Overall, Sena is a very positive and friendly person, thanks in large due to the influence of her village. The people of Daisan are very welcoming of those who accompany another Daisanian, and invite them to be members of the village, just as Ambra was when she arrived with Sho. This open acceptance, given to her mother and to so many others she'd seen, is the core foundation for the attitude Sena has towards others. She enjoys meeting new people, and while she isn't exactly a social butterfly, she is happy to strike up a conversation with anyone. Being around so many different kinds of people has also taught Sena to always try to find the good in others, for they might be able to offer something new or interesting, such as the people in her village who shared their stories with her or let her copy some of their abilities. At times, it can make her seem a bit naive about the world to constantly look at the bright side of things, and it's true that she isn't always aware of some of the deeper troubles that underlies a situation. However, she doesn't turn a blind eye to the darker aspects of life; rather, she will actively search for the good in order to find ways to balance and even combat against the bad.

Insecure - Despite doing her best to remain positive about others, Sena does experience moments of insecurity in regards to her own abilities. Because her main powers are just to copying others, she often worries that it reflects that there is nothing unique about her, since she is only able to mimic the people around her and has no special abilities of her own. While she does not mind learning from others, she is not all that happy with the ability to copy other's abilities. It feels like cheating to her. Even worse, however, is it leaves her unsure if she could have ever done certain things on her own without the copy ability, or if she's only able to do things because she copied it from someone else. Even her desire to travel the world and become a Sentinel like her father feels like she is only following someone else's journey, and as much as she admires and loves her father, Sena worries that she will not be able to find her own way if all she can do is copy others.

Motivated - Even so, Sena remains very determined to earn her Third Eye. She is always eager to learn and try new things. While part of that could be due to her copy abilities, allowing her to learn some things fairly quickly, she does genuinely enjoy absorbing information and finding ways to use the things she's learned. She is also a hard worker, and when she sets her mind on something she will do as much as she can in order to achieve it. Before she left on her journey to earn her Third Eye, she had worked a few jobs to earn enough money to buy her own smartphone, so she could use it to keep in touch with her parents during her journey. She also continues training daily; though she is still waiting to see if she'll pursue being a Sentinel, she still dedicates some time to practicing in order to stay ready, in case she does take that path.

Athletic - Due to the nature of her powers, Sena is very physically active. Because learning physical feats in particular is easy for her, she enjoys watching and learning different forms of physical pastimes. Martial arts is especially her favorite, which she started learning from her father at first and is something that they share together. So she spends every morning training and practicing the different martial arts styles she's picked up over the years from him, some members of the village, and some other Sentinels. She also enjoys things like ice skating, dancing, and gymnastics.

Adaptive - While Sena's powers allow her to imitate what she's able to see others do, even more impressive is how she is able to use what she's learned. Because she is able to retain the abilities and moves that she observes, she is able to recall the information at a moment's notice, finding the best move or ability to use in a given situation. She can even blend different moves and abilities together, blending together different styles and forms of martial arts to create something unique to herself. However, she can also use the memory of things she's learned as a foundation to expand upon, such as using the notes from a song she's learned to play on an instrument in order to learn to play other songs.

Perceptive - Due to the nature of Sena's powers, she spends a lot of time observing things and people. And perhaps it's because she is able to copy things so accurately, down to the finer details, that she is able to catch subtleties, and notice things that other people might have missed. She's good at reading physical cues, picking up on changes in facial expression and body language, even if she isn't always aware of what those changes mean. So she may incorrectly interpret someone's expression, which can lead to embarrassment. Still, she tries her best to accommodate to people if she notices a change in their behavior or mood. And because of her friendly openness, if she notices that someone appears uncomfortable or upset, she will try to assist however she can, from a kind word to offering some help.

Directionally-challenged - For all the things that Sena is able to do, one thing that she is not able to do is read a map. For some reason, Sena has a horrible sense of direction, and gets turned around very easily. While her muscle memory means she's able to locate someplace if she's already been there, trying to find a place for the first time usually means she is bound to get lost before she finds it.

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Adoptive Muscle Memory - Sena is able to copy movements by observing them. She is able to copy any movement, regardless of her current skill level, as long as she's able to see it.

Power Replication - Sena is able to copy a power or ability (such an energy attack or magic ability) after seeing it performed. Unlike her Adoptive Muscle Memory ability, however, the strength of the ability she's copying relies on her current ability. For example, while she is able to produce Fire after seeing someone use Fire magic, if she has never used fire magic before, the flame she is able to produce is weak and only can grow stronger after she's practiced and trained with it. She is also unable to copy powers and abilities that require an object to perform, if the energy or magic comes from the object itself (such as a staff that produces an attack, technology-based powers or abilities, or magic that comes from an artifact). Since she does have to train with these abilities after she copies them, she is also able to lose them if she does not harness them.
